Limited Lifetime Warranty

DARMA products are built to last. Every piece is covered for the life of the product against defects in craftsmanship. This warranty is a promise made in good faith: if we made it wrong, we make it right.

WHAT'S COVERED

Defects in materials and workmanship, for the usable life of the product. That includes:

  • Stitching that comes loose or seams that separate under normal wear
  • Hardware failure: buckles, rivets, snaps, or clasps that break in normal use
  • Structural or assembly defects present from the day it was made

If a covered defect appears, we repair or replace the product. Every DARMA product carries this warranty except the cologne.

WHAT A LIFETIME MEANS

Real products live real lives. A trucker hat worn daily through summers and storms will age, fade, and one day be retired. Full-grain leather stretches and softens to its wearer. That is not failure. That is a product doing its work. This warranty does not promise your gear will never age. It promises it was made right.

WHAT'S NOT COVERED

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Natural aging, fading, or patina of any material
  • Oxidation of 925 sterling silver
  • The natural wearing of 24K gold vermeil (see below)
  • Scratches, dents, or bending, including bent or misshapen jewelry
  • Stretching of leather, canvas, or knit materials
  • Accidental damage, loss, or theft
  • Misuse, neglect, improper care, or alteration or repair by anyone but DARMA

HOW 24K GOLD VERMEIL LIVES

Vermeil is real gold over real silver: a thick 3-micron layer of 24K gold bonded to solid 925 sterling silver. Worn daily, the gold softens and, over time, gradually reveals the silver beneath. The silver then develops its own depth as it oxidizes. Two precious metals, one piece, aging honestly. This is the nature of genuine vermeil. It is not a defect, and it is not covered by the warranty. It is the reason a DARMA piece ages with character instead of flaking like plated imitations.

MAKING A CLAIM

  1. Email support@darma.com with your order number, photos of the issue, and a short description.
  2. If your claim is approved, return the complete product with all original components. Return shipping is the customer's responsibility.
  3. We inspect every claim. Covered defects are repaired or replaced at our discretion.
